Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts in 1912 with just 18 members in Savannah, Georgia. Since then our membership has boomed! There are now 3.7 million members spread throughout the United States and more than 90 countries through USA Girl Scouts Overseas.
Girl Scouts of Connecticut serves more than 44,000 girls and nearly 20,000 adults. That makes us the largest leadership development program for girls in the state.
