Winsted VFW On Saturday, Girl Scouts of Connecticut will "Fill the Truck" at locations across the state in support of their Cookies for Heroes service project, which allows customers to purchase Girl Scout Cookies to be shipped to service men and women at home and overseas. This year, Girl Scouts of Connecticut aim to ship 100,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to our dedicated service women and men around the world. Volunteers, Girl Scouts, and military personnel will be on hand at locations across the state to help load the cookies into the trucks so they can be prepared for delivery worldwide. Patrons can purchase cookies at each location. KC101 radio personality Michael Maze and 960/WELI host Vinnie Penn will host the event at the Wallingford Walmart location from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. The public is encouraged to visit www.CookieVote.com to vote for their favorite Girl Scout Cookie and submit their own notes to service men and women around the world. |
